From time to time, I put up a post on something which interests me, just in case someone else is interested in things which interest me. Also, from time to time, I look at the stats on which posts are popular and who reads them and from where these readers come. And May 2025 has been a big one (for me).
I usually average a few hundred visits a day, generally from the US but pleasingly international. Not so much interaction in terms of comments which is a shame, and the stats tool does not tell me if people read a post completely or simply open it. I can't tell if these visits are people or bots, but given that multiple posts are opened multiple times, I would like to think that I am attracting interested readers.
However this month has been averaging over a thousand visits a day. Firstly, yay, Secondly, any comments?]
But the strange thing is that over 80% of visits have come from two countries - Singapore and Vietnam, Why? I know that English is a Singaporean language so theoretically, anyone in that country can access my content. However Vietnamese speak Vietnamese so those who can enjoy my ruminations can only be a small group within the country. So who and why?
